Start from a baseline eDPI (DPI × sens), e.g. 800 DPI × 1.0 = 800 eDPI. Play 1–2 weeks in deathmatch or on a training map before judging: if you overshoot targets, lower it; if you can't turn enough, raise it. The right sens is the one where your aim is consistent — not the lowest.
eDPI = your mouse DPI × your in-game sensitivity. It's the only number comparable between two players: 800 DPI × 1.0 and 400 DPI × 2.0 give the same eDPI (800), so the same real speed. The tool computes it for you.
Most pros sit between 700 and 1000 eDPI, at 400 or 800 DPI — a low sens for precise aim when shooting. Above ~1200 eDPI you gain reactivity but lose precision. Common casual range: 800 to 1200.
